Peace Oriental Teahouse,

The Parq

Peace Oriental Teahouse, the Parq explores the essence of tea through a restrained architectural language, creating a space that feels removed from the intensity of its urban surroundings. Rather than relying on ornament, the design uses proportion, material, light, and carefully composed details to establish a sense of calm and contemplation.

The spatial experience unfolds through a sequence of transitions, where changes in scale, texture, and illumination gradually reveal the character of the interior. Natural materials and subtle tonal variations create a quiet backdrop for the rituals of tea, while carefully framed openings and filtered light introduce a gentle connection with the surrounding city.

At The PARQ, architecture becomes an atmosphere rather than simply a physical enclosure. The interplay of light, material, space, and human perception creates moments of pause within the city—allowing the experience of tea to extend beyond taste into touch, sight, movement, and emotion. It is an exploration of how subtle architectural phenomena can shape a deeper sense of place.
