Peace Oriental Teahouse, Ari revisits the spirit of Peace’s original home at Ekkamai, translating its values of work, happiness, and wholesomeness into a new spatial experience. The design creates a welcoming retreat within the urban setting, using a restrained architectural language to distinguish the teahouse from its surrounding commercial environment.
A transparent glass façade draws natural light deep into the interior, while linear benches, shelves, and carefully integrated lighting guide movement and establish subtle layers of experience. Polished concrete, dark natural stone, and warm pine wood create a quiet material palette, allowing the space to feel grounded, tactile, and connected to nature.
The architecture is ultimately shaped around the sensory experience of tea. Through the interplay of light, material, proportion, and atmosphere, the space encourages a slower pace and a deeper awareness of its surroundings. Rather than seeking visual excess, Peace Ari finds its identity in restraint—creating an environment where architecture quietly supports contemplation and the appreciation of tea.
